October 14, 2003

Due to unanticipated complications in reporting the requested information, the Research, Education, and Extension percentage fields incorporated into the AD-417 form on October 1 have been removed pending further study.

October 1, 2003

The 2003 checklists have been generated for all sites that were ready. If your status screen still says 2002, you either asked to have us wait until later for your checklist or you had unsubmitted AD-421s or changes and we will be contacting you about that.

(See note above regarding REE fields originally implemented October 1.)

August 7, 2003

Minor changes have been implemented:

  • AD-416s for grants submitted using the Non-State Cooperator site cannot be submitted to CRIS more than once with the same proposal number

  • grant information such as amount, FY, contract number, and award date are no longer part of the AD-416 web forms -- proposal number is the only grant-specific information to be entered

June 4, 2003

These changes have been implemented:

  • a non-technical summary is now required on all AD-416s

  • a valid proposal number is required on AD-416s for all grants

  • an impact summary is now required on all AD-421s

February 25, 2003

The 2003 CSREES Administrative Officer's Conference will be held in Albuquerque, NM, April 13-17. This is a helpful opportunity to meet some of the CRIS staff and those in other states who are responsible for CRIS reporting, to exchange ideas and learn how other sites handle these responsibilities. There will be a CRIS roundtable on Monday, April 14 for informal discussion about issues, ideas, problems, solutions -- and we would like to know if you have specific topics we should plan to address at that time. While you can bring up anything you like at the roundtable, we can be better prepared to address your issues if we know about them ahead of time. Contact Pat Downer or Carolyn Deckers if you have specific topics that you would like us to address.
