Submitting AD-421 Reports for terminating USDA grants.
The CRIS office sends out requests for AD-421 Termination Reports for grants that have
reached their termination date. If the grant is terminating and is a project that was on your
current year's CRIS checklist, you can submit this report now using the CRIS Web Forms.
If the grant is not terminating, but has been extended, do not submit the AD-421 termination
report. Verify that the extension has been approved by the Granting Agency and that CRIS has
the correct termination date. This project will be listed on the 1999 CRIS Checklist that
is available in the CRIS Web forms. You can submit the report with your
CRIS AD-421 reporting.
If the project is terminating, and was listed on your 1999 CRIS checklist, and has had an
AD-421 Progress report submitted for
1999, you need to follow the administrative steps described below to put this
project back on your site's checklist so a new AD-421 Termination report can be entered and submitted.
-
In Administrative Functions, select: "Display/Edit AD-421."
Select your site and use your administrative password.
Under the heading Select
in-progress and/or submitted reports:" you need to select "include ONLY reports submitted
to CRIS" -OR- "All projects....."
PROCEED to generate a table format will list the projects with
the narratives and publications that
have been submitted to CRIS.
- To put a project back onto your site list so a new AD-421 report can be entered, you will
need to use the "CLEAR" function. This CLEAR process deletes the submitted
progress narrative and pubs and puts the project back onto your site's checklist.. The project that
has been "cleared" will then be availble to the PI to enter the AD-421 Termination report and
publications.
- Once the AD-421 Termination report is entered, you will need to
mark it complete and submit the AD-421 report to CRIS. PIs can not
submit any data directly to CRIS.
